Is posting consistently more important than including God?
A few weeks ago, I became so consumed with other urgent aspects of my business that I neglected to allocate time for preparing my YouTube video. It lingered in my mind, but I procrastinated until the very last moment to gear up for it. Consequently, I found myself lacking the proper mindset, unable to create an engaging atmosphere, and pressed for time. The most significant misstep, however, was that I failed to seek God's guidance prior to preparing or filming.
The outcome was disappointing—a video that felt shallow, lacked energy, and showcased my discomfort. I allowed my busyness to dictate my actions, wanting to maintain consistency at the expense of quality. This raises an important question: Should we make an effort to show up even when we haven't adequately prepared? Is it worth risking exclusion of God's influence just to fulfill a commitment?
Reflecting on this experience, it becomes clear that the integrity of our work and the value we provide to our audience should take precedence over mere consistency. It’s essential to ensure that we are fully prepared and aligned with our purpose, allowing space for divine direction. Preparation, both spiritually and practically, not only enhances the quality of our contributions but also honours the commitment we make to ourselves and our audience.
